The first look at John Lewis's Christmas advert is a highlight of the festive season every year, and this year's is no exception.
The 2023 John Lewis Christmas ad sees a young boy grow a mischievous Venus flytrap in place of a traditional Christmas tree with tenor Andrea Bocelli providing the rousing soundtrack.
And if this has got you hankering for some new cosy clothes and festive knits, here's how you can buy one of the exact jumpers seen on screen – and for 20% off its usual price.
The John Lewis Fair Isle Sweater in the colour Natural is worn by the little boy's grandmother while the family are decorating their replacement (toothless) Christmas tree. It usually costs £45 but shoppers can currently buy it for £36 as part of the retailer's epic early Black Friday sale.
Made from a wool blend and with a timeless Fair Isle diamond print on the top half, it's the perfect knit for cold weather, Christmas Day and on into 2024, and looks great paired with jeans or tailored trousers. It's also available in a light grey colour combination.
Although the Christmas advert has only just been released, this jumper has already been a hit with John Lewis shoppers, who are loving how soft and cosy it feels and its value for money.
"Good value jumper for the price as it has a little wool in it, especially when 20% off," wrote one happy customer. "Not too boxy (which doesn't suit my shape and size). Comfortable to wear and will go well with jeans."
"A lovely fit, nice and snuggly and very reasonably priced. Really pleased with my purchase," another review reads.
Given how many times we're likely to see the John Lewis ad over the next month, we predict this jumper will fly off the shelves, so we recommend snapping it up soon before it sells out – and while it's currently reduced in price.
Black Friday falls on 24 November this year, but lots of retailers have started their sales early, with huge savings already to be found across big-name brands – including John Lewis, which has kicked off the huge shopping event with up to 40% off its fashion, beauty and homeware, making it the perfect time to shop for Christmas presents.
