I found out my man was cheating as he proposed, I kept cool then planned revenge that people say gave me 'all the power' | The Sun

IT'S devastating enough to find out you're being cheated on.

But one woman has recalled how she discovered her man had been unfaithful AS he popped the question.

Tiffany explained that she was "head over heels" with her other half, but was still surprised when he proposed as she didn't feel at the time that they were ready for it.

One day, he surprised her by taking her to the theme parks in Orlando, Florida.

"Once we got there, he decides to sign up to be a contestant on one of the competition game performances that they had at this theme park," she continued her TikTok video.

"Right before he's about to start to compete, he hands me his phone and says 'Babe, please film this, I want you to see what's going to happen'."

She said it was a "dream come true", and was "excited" to film her man, who ultimately won the competition.

However, as she recorded his participation, some text messages started to flash up on the screen.

"The text messages turned out to be from his mistress, that he's been messing around with the whole time we are together," she said.

"And she's p**sed. She's really p**sed. I guess that morning, he had texted her to let her know like, 'Hey, it's over between us because I'm about to get engaged today', and she threw a s**t fit, even though she herself married.

"My heart absolutely drops, I want to vomit and I'm sitting here in a crowd with hundreds of people, maybe even thousands of people, trying to keep my hands steady and filming what's happening as he's proposing and announcing it to this whole freaking stadium full of people."

Tiffany went on to say that she's "not the type of girl who likes it when people sees me sweat".

"I keep my cool, I just smile and pretend that I'm just the most elated happiest woman on the planet, since this proposal has been blasted all over the big screen," she added.

Everyone began congratulating her, and she had to watch as he walked outside to meet her.

"Once he sees me, he immediately gives me a huge hug, tells me that he loves me and, of course, does the proposal again – to my face this time, not on the big screen," she continued.

At that point, she decided to drag him to the nearest restaurant inside the theme park, took him to the bar area and told him "everything I know".

"He didn't try to deny it, he knew that he was caught," she said.

"The next 30 minutes, he proceeded to tell me everything he thought I wanted to hear. I was just numb.

"And the only words I could muster up at this point was 'Baby, this two carat diamond ring, it's just not going to be enough'."

Tiffany went on to share another video continuing the story, as she said: "Remember, this is real life, this is not a game".

"We drove home in awkward silence that day," she said.

"I was completely paralysed."

And she said that while she did not say yes that day, two days later she did "agree to put the ring on and play fiancee".

While lots of people had commented that they would have publicly "outed" their man if that had happened to them, Tiffany insisted: "I'm just not a messy girl, why would I embarrass myself further like that?"

"I kept my cool to think and calculate and assess the situation to not cause further harm to myself."

They started to go out with friends, who noticed Tiffany's ring and asked "What the heck is this?"

But two or three months later, "things fell apart".

"He was never going to win my trust back, it was never gonna work," she said.

"I had so much invested in this relationship that it was really hard to break it off immediately so I really tried to give it a go.

"It took about two years, and $10,000 of therapy, just to finally be right with myself again."

As for what she did with the ring?

"I gave it back," she continued.

"I know you might think I'm crazy, or stupid, but I didn't need that bad juju.

"I didn't need him. I didn't want anything from him.

"I gave that ring back because that s**t was tainted".

Tiffany added that "karma always does its job", and said: "Silence is deadly.

"Silence gives you your power back so that you're not the one looking like a damn fool."

She added that while getting vindication might sound "really sexy", it will just end up giving you more problems and make you "look weak".

Tiffany concluded her tale by revealing that the man has never had a successful relationship since her.

While he married someone after her, it only lasted a year, and now he's single again.

Meanwhile, Tiffany is in a "very loving relationship".

People were quick to comment on the unbelievable story, with one writing: "The best revenge is no reaction.

"People love a reaction so they can call you the crazy one. Overreacting gives them the power!"

"Should’ve sold the ring to pay for your therapy," another joked.

"LOOOOOVEEE how you presented this for how it was," a third praised.

"It’s so hard to let go after investing so much."
