The CEO of Generation Partners, Sergey Kartashov, says that the main reason behind the interest of IT companies in Cyprus is IP Box. IP Box is a tax intensive regime that attracts foreign companies to work in this jurisdiction. A nominal company with a full-fledged development office is eligible for the tax benefits. Sergey Kartashov says, “This (IP Box) pushed foreign companies to relocate their offices and staff during the last year.”

A huge stimulus occurred in the development of the IT industry in Cyprus due to the arrival of international companies here. According to the CEO Generation Partners, the infrastructure of Limassol, a city on the southern coast of Cyprus, developed rapidly in recent time due to the IP Box. Some of the strongest IT companies have already arrived on the island to operate their business under a tax incentive regime.
