Pharrell Williams Defines the Future of Dandy for Louis Vuitton Men’s Pre-Fall 2024 Collection
Louis Vuitton
Yesterday, Pharrell Williams took Louis Vuitton to Hong Kong for the Men’s Pre-Fall 2024 show. Marking Williams’ second collection and runway show at the new menswear creative director, the latest effort sees the multi-hyphenate further his vision of the LV man.
Located on the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront, the show brought in an international crowd, with a key focus on the Asian market. From a design perspective, the latest collection saw a focus on tailoring alongside elevated, street-leaning pieces.
“The archetypes that we chose were like a sailor one and an another archetype was one on holiday. There’s a lot of floral inspiration, a deep dive into exotic colorways, interesting pairings of colors,” Williams told Hypebeast. “The silhouette that you’re going to see is consistent with what I’m infatuated with when it comes to formal…which is the future of chic, dandy in a sailor suit, dandy in resort holiday.”
Matthew M Williams Is Leaving Givenchy
Copenhagenfashionsummit
Givenchy has announced that Matthew M Williams is set to exit as its creative director — a role the Illinois-born designer has held for four years.
With Williams at the helm, Givenchy saw a fusion of the designer’s signature knack for punk-laden streetwear and tailoring-oriented style notes. With an inherent edgy core, Williams parted new notes for fashion for the house. Williams is set to officially make his exit on January 1, 2024.
“Leading the creative direction of Givenchy was, as I said upon my arrival in 2020, the dream of a lifetime,” Williams said in a statement. “Over these three years, I have strived to perpetuate Mr. Hubert de Givenchy’s legacy while bringing my own creative vision and I would like to sincerely thank the studio, Renaud de Lesquen, and LVMH for this incredible opportunity.”

From the Lyst report, Miu Miu’s online search increased by 39% in Q4 alongside a 12% search spike for its signature cashmere cardigans. Behind Miu Miu, LOEWE was another highlight – claiming the hot spot in Q2 and also having the logo for the year with its signature Anagram emblem.

The trinity is finally complete as Fear of God Athletics has arrived. The Fear of God x adidas collaboration was first announced three years ago, but Jerry Lorenzo and the sportswear giant have been working for quite some time to build their vision.
With Fear of God Athletics, Lorenzo bridges his affinity for tailoring and basketball for a blissfully elegant sportswear collection. According to a release by the brand, Athletics “completes the brand architecture of Fear of God, which was established in 2013.”
The exact clothing details for Fear of God Athletics are still under wraps, but the released campaign visuals reveal sleeveless tops and jackets, zip-ups, performance crewnecks and more. Fear of God Athletics is set to launch on December 3 online at Fear of God and adidas’ CONFIRMED. The line will then be released at select adidas stores on December 6.
