Update: Spotted initially in May, the Air Jordan 2 “Origins” has finally been showcased by Jordan Brand. Drawing upon the AJ2’s history, it utilizes a color arrangement inspired by the Italian flag. The primarily-white colorway is joined by “Fire Red” and green “Fir” accents. Release is now expected to go down on November 15 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $175 USD. Original Story: In case Jordan Brand hasn’t served you enough Air Jordan 2 looks to choose from, yet another has surfaced. Remixing the retro sneaker with “Fire Red” and “Fir Green” accents, the silhouette continues its conquest within the sneakerverse.
Its color composition — with white coating a majority of its upper — is possibly a nod to the Italian flag, with Italy being where the original Air Jordan 2 pairs were assembled. Tumbled leather is joined by smooth layers as the typical design elements of the 2 make yet another return. “Fire Red” enlivens the shoe at the lining, tongue branding, heel tab and rear portion of the rubber outsole. “Fir Green” lands at the heel branding, ribbed heel element and the panel lining with a creamy off-white midsole completing the look.
As of now, this colorway of the Air Jordan 2 is expected to hit shelves on November 18 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $175 USD. Stay tuned for official details and imagery as its release nears in the coming months.
