Bradley Cooper Reveals He Would Do 'The Hangover 4' in an "Instant"

Bradley Cooper recently hopped on a new episode of The New Yorker Radio Hour with David Remnick to discuss his recent directorial efforts including projects like A Star Is Born and Maestro to taking on more dramatic roles.

Remnick asked Cooper, “Are you done with fun? In other words, if another kinda fun comic role came along, it was three months of your life, it’s not ‘Hangover 5’ but something of a similar spirit.” Cooper responded enthusiastically, “Well, I would do ‘Hangover 5.’ It would be ‘Hangover 4’ first, but yeah.” Remnick continued to ask, “You would do that in a flash? Not just to pay the bills.” Cooper reassured, “I would probably do ‘Hangover 4’ in an instant. Just because I love Todd [Phillips], I love Zach [Galifianakis], I love Ed [Helms] so much, I probably would.” Unfortunately for fans, when Remnick posed the question to Cooper if he thinks a fourth sequel will happen, he said, “I don’t think Todd’s ever going to do that.”

The first The Hangover film came out in 2009 and starred Cooper alongside co-stars Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha and Ken Jeong. The film grew in such popularity that it spawned two other sequels, The Hangover Part II and The Hangover Part III in 2011 and 2013, respectively. While he has not been tied to traditionally funny films, Cooper admits that he is “having fun” and does not think the heavier films are “exhausting” in comparison, “There’s nothing more fun that I’ve experienced than Maestro and a A Star is Born. I wouldn’t do it if it wasn’t.”
