Rylan Clark shares pic of mum in hospital bed after fall as she’s taken aback

Rylan Clark has shared his mum Linda is overwhelmed by the kind messages she has received from fans in an update from her hospital bed.

The mother and son duo, who are beloved stars of Channel 4’s Celebrity Gogglebox, were inundated with concerned comments wanting to check in on Linda after she was rushed to hospital following a fall.

Sharing the first photo of his mum in hospital after her accident, Rylan, 34, wrote on Instagram: “Someone is out of the bed and in a chair.

“She can’t believe how many people have sent messages. Thanks everyone.

“Will update you all with more as I can x,” the BBC Radio 2 presenter concluded.

Linda was pictured smiling while resting in her hospital bed with a white fluffy blanket wrapped around her.

She could be seen with a cast on her arm and leg and was being propped up with several pillows.

It wasn’t long before Rylan and Linda’s celeb pals took to the comments section to send more of their well-wishes.

Rylan’s ITV pal Ruth Langsford wrote: “Good to see her smiling.”

Loose Women star Denise Welch added: “Much love Linda.”

Rylan’s Eurovision co-star Scott Mills, who is currently covering for him on the radio, also added four red love heart emojis to show his support.

The former Strictly: It Takes Two host explained he would not be able to present his radio show over the weekend as Linda, 71, was not “in the best of health.”

He said: “So unfortunately I took my mum away on her first holiday in a good few years and sadly she’s had quite a bad fall, resulting in her having to have surgery out here.

“She’s not in the best health with her other conditions and this has made it more complicated.

“My priority at the moment is my mum.

“Cheers Scott for covering me at Radio 2 and Thanks to the people out here that have sent their well wishes.

“Praying for a successful surgery and a quick recovery. Will update you on mummy. Linda as and when I can x.”

The broadcaster has previously shared his mother’s health struggles with Crohn’s disease, admitting she has nearly lost her life “three times” due to the condition.
