New Balance is releasing a fall-ready colorway for its timeless classic just in time for the seasonal change in wardrobe. The New Balance 580 now arrives in a “Washed Burgundy” hue after it surfaced in a greyscale palette and in “Sakura”. The silhouette originally launched in 1996 as a trail running shoe inspired by Japanese mountainous and forest landscapes, but over the years, the 580 has cemented itself as a lifestyle staple.
The upcoming pair comes in a bold color palette that consists of washed burgundy, mahogany and vintage teal. The shoe is constructed in a mix of suede and breathable mesh uppers with textured rubber stabilizers complementing the shoe on both sides. The “N” logo and heel are highlighted in a golden tan, contrasting the rest of the shoe as it sits atop the chunky C-CAP midsoles complete with signature Rollbar technology for added support. Rounding out the design is a black rubber outsole.
Look out for the New Balance 580 “Washed Burgundy” arriving in select retailers and New Balance for $140 USD later this year.
