Later this month, Koji Yamaguchi will be presenting his latest solo exhibition at On Sundays’ LightSeed Gallery in Tokyo.
The Japanese artist is known for his dreamscape-like paintings and style that stems from his penchant for skateboarding. In Yamaguchi’s artwork, mundane landscapes and cityscapes are imbued with a touch of impressionism through the use of flowing forms and blurred-out finishes.
“Surface” will include a body of new oil paintings on linen. The style remains in line with Yamaguchi’s usual approach, but many of which are created on large canvases that stretch as wide as 436.5 cm x 227.3mm.

Koji Yamaguchi’s “Surface” exhibition will be on view from September 26 to November 5, 2023. For more updates, head over to On Sunday’s official website.
