Amanda Holden has already scaled Blackpool Tower, and now she’s pushed herself even further as she jumped from a plane.
But the Britain’s Got Talent star isn’t just seeking wilder and more extreme ways to get the adrenaline pumping – she’s raising money for Heart Radio charity Global’s Make Some Noise.
Amanda has been taking part in a series of challenges recently to raise funds, and this week launched herself from a plane mid-flight, appearing – mostly – to take it all in her stride.
In a video posted to Instagram, Amanda can be heard asking how high up the plane will be, receiving the dizzying answer of about 13,000 feet.
‘I’m feeling nervously excited,’ she admitted to the camera before giving out a nervous giggle.
‘It’s pretty daunting,’ she added, before saying it didn’t matter as she had to raise this money for charity – ‘That’s what I’m doing it for.’
The video then showed the view from the plane window, a patchwork quilt of fields tens of thousands of feet below.
And then, suddenly Amanda was emerging from the plane, strapped to an instructor tandem style, and with a giant grin on her face despite the nerves and fear she must have been feeling.
They leapt out of the plane with a spin, Amanda letting out a scream as they hurtled toward the ground before the instructor let loose the parachute.
Amanda’s shock turned to thrilled whoops, and she made a heart sign with her hands to the camera, before shrieking again as the parachute took hold and let them float relatively slowly and safely down to earth.
Landing with a bit of a bump, Amanda could do nothing but yell and clap, before thanking the instructor in a shaky voice.
‘I loved it. It was really emotional … and I kept screaming “Global’s Make Some Noise!’”

The jump comes after Amanda climbed 500 feet up the outside of Blackpool Tower, calling it the ‘scariest thing I’ve ever done.’
She even joked: ‘I’m so glad I wore my brown pants today.’
When asked by radio host Jamie Theakston how she was feeling, Amanda replied: ‘It is honestly terrifying, my knees are shaking. I feel quite faint.’
Admitting she was ‘nearly crying’ at the top, Amanda then asked what probably any person would ask after scaling Blackpool Tower at 9am on a Monday.
‘Is it too early for gin?’
