This Morning: Holly Willoughby addresses queue jumping claims
Holly Willoughby’s departure from ITV’s This Morning comes during a very difficult year for the English presenter as she has suffered public fallouts, losing a close family member and experiencing an alleged kidnap and murder plot.
Taking to her official Instagram account, Holly wrote that she will “not be returning to This Morning” in an emotional post.
She penned: “I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning.
“To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much.”
She added that it has been an “honour” and thanked her “wonderful viewers” for the support.

Holly concluded: “Sadly, however, I now feel I have to make this decision for me and my family. I will miss you all so much. Holly.”
Her exit comes as the latest event during a tough year as she dealt with the Queuegate scandal alongside her former co-host Phillip Schofield.
Last September, the duo were accused of jumping the queue to see the late Queen Elizabeth II lying in state.
A petition was drawn up which saw over 100,000 signatures demanding the pair to be fired from This Morning.
Then, Holly was caught in a public fallout after Phillip admitted to having an affair with a younger male colleague.

On top of this, her show This Morning was also snubbed during the National Television Awards as it failed to scoop the Best Daytime award.
Holly also experienced a family tragedy after a close family member passed away last week.
The ITV presenter and her sister, Kelly, took to Instagram to share a touching tribute in a heartbreaking post.
In recent days, Holly has been at the centre of an alleged kidnap and murder plot
Holly reportedly pulled out of hosting This Morning on Thursday after hearing about the alleged plot and was put under police guard at her London home with her husband Daniel Baldwin and their three children.
ITV also provided Holly with round-the-clock security and support.
