A Shrek super fan has claimed he has got the ogre’s name tattooed on his forehead in a showcase of his love for the animated character.

Harry Brown says he got ‘Shrek’ boldly inked on his face in the movie’s classic font, complete with ears on the ‘S’.

His tattoo artist, Will Thomson who works at Heritage Tattoo Studio in Brighton, posted a video of the bold design being tattooed.

The clip has already been seen by over 100,000 people and shocked viewers are tagging their friends in the comments.

Its caption reads ‘Repost this if you love Shrek tattoos on your forehead! Thanks @Harry Brown for the trust #shrek #shrekislove #churchofshrek’.

REPOST THIS IF YOU LOVE SHREK TATTOOS ON YOUR FOREHEAD! The video shows the artist placing the large stencil across Harry’s forehead, with Smash Mouth’s  hit ‘All Star’ playing in the background, which was famously the soundtrack of the 2001 film.

It then zooms in on the letters allegedly being inked permanently, although viewers are sceptical if it’s real.

He appears to wince in pain as the needle is taken to his skin – the end results features thick black lines spelling out the fictional ogre’s name.

Commenters who were not convinced the ink is authentic wrote ‘if only it was real’ and ‘surely not?’.

Another tagged their friend and joked ‘found your next tattoo!,’ meanwhile someone else said ‘now this is exquisite’.

Other fans chimed in with ‘I don’t want it I need it’ and ‘this is a green flag’.

One viewer penned ‘Me when I retire cause Shrek is life,’ and another jested ‘I love tattoos with meaning behind it so much’.

Someone agreed ‘Shrek is love, Shrek is life’.

A commenter who wasn’t a fan dubbed it the ‘worst idea ever’ and another added ‘can’t tell if this is the worst thing or the best thing’.

One shocked viewer questioned ‘Omg! Why would you agree to tattoo this? Doesn’t even look like he has other visible tats’.

Some believe the tattoo artists video is making fun of another viral clip by Polish influencer Ana Stanskovsky, which made headlines last week.

She pretended she had her boyfriend’s name tattooed on her forehead in bold cursive letters, and later admitted the daring choice was not real.

The hit franchise stars Mike Myers as the voice of Shrek and Eddie Murphy as the voice of Donkey

However, the admission came after over 30 million people saw the prank video.

The influencer claims she was trying to teach people a lesson with the realistic-seeming joke.

She said ‘This is actually not a real tattoo and the reason why I tricked the whole internet is that I have a message to young people and all of the people who want to get covered in tattoos.

‘I want everyone to know that I regret my tattoos and you might regret yours when you get older.’
