I'm a pro gardener – stop breaking your back by raking up leaves, my game-changing switch is great for your lawn | The Sun

A PROFESSIONAL gardener has revealed an easy tip for your lawn.

He said his game-changing hack will save you from breaking your back while raking leaves.

TikToker The ADD Gardener (@theaddgardener) created a new video for fall.

He revealed that you don't need to rake your leaves during the change of season.

"Stop breaking your back over raking those leaves by doing these two things," he said at the beginning of his video.

The gardener first advised that you should keep your rake away from your flowers and vegetables.

"Leave the leaves in your garden beds. It’s really good for it," he said.

Additionally, the ADD Gardener said you should also keep the rake away from your grass.

"Mow over your leaves. It’s good mulch for your lawn," he revealed.

The gardener's bottom line is that "you don’t need to rake your leaves."

The ADD Gardener isn't alone in his advice.

Fallen leaves act as a benefit to wildlife and the environment, according to the National Wildlife Foundation.

Species of butterflies and moths lay their eggs or pupae in leaf litter, the organization explained.

You should not be scared if your leaves develop mold, either.

"Leaf mold can be used as a soil amendment to improve structure and water retention," the NWF wrote.

Leaves can also be used as mulch, the NWF added, confirming what the ADD Gardener said in his video.
