I hated my ‘dumping ground’ conservatory so panelled the windows & transformed it with No Nails – the results are great | The Sun

ARE you bored of your conservatory and want to give it a new lease of life?

A creative woman showed how she transformed her “dumping ground” space into a stylish playroom by adding wooden panelling.

And the best part for DIY novices is that it didn’t require any nails or advanced skills and only cost £33.

Mum Abi Richards shared a clip of the conservatory filled with toys and storage boxes before her hard work.

On her @abilourichards, she said: “This is what our toy room always looked like before.

“It was just a dumping ground, we didn’t have sufficient storage.

“No matter what I did, I’d tidy it and within no time at all it would look like this, it was just horrendous.”

Abi shared how she had shared her plans for panelling the glass sides of the conservatory on TikTok and the replies had “gone crazy.”

However, after sticking to her guns and putting in some time, she had achieved the finished result.

She added: “I’ve got an ‘after’ for you now. It’s been two weeks working on this absolute mess.

“Now look!”

Abi showed how she had panelled one wall of the conservatory using panels from Wickes, and painted it a stylish grey colour.

She had then lined the wall with storage drawers and bookshelves to keep all her kids' items neat and tidy.

The mum continued: “Look at how much storage there is.

“We’ve now got somewhere to put books, they were always just stacked up.”

She also revealed how she achieved the chic panelling, saying: “I did put this up with No Nails [adhesive].

“Don’t worry I didn’t drill into my windows.”

Abi shared how she was “so so happy” with the transformation and it’s “made such a difference" to her.

She added: “I just love watching them play out there, we haven’t used this space to play because it’s been horrible, it’s just not been enjoyable out there and messy.

“There is space to put things, everything’s organised.”

Many people were quick to comment with their views, and many praised her hard work.
