Tory Lanez mugshot released in prison sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion

Tory Lanez’s mugshot has been released following his sentencing after being found guilty of shooting musician Megan Thee Stallion.

The rapper had been sentenced to 10 years in prison for the shooting, which Lanez had appealed.

He had requested to be allowed out on bail while his appeal was being processed, however this was denied by a LA Superior Court Judge earlier in September.

Now, having been returned to North Kern State Prison in California, his mugshot has been revealed.

First obtained by TMZ, the mugshot sees the 31-year-old Canadian musician stare grimly at the camera as he prepares to start the next decade incarcerated.

Judge David Herriford had denied his motion for bail for several reasons, including, he told the court, the fact Lanez is not a US citizen and therefore a greater flight risk; that he had a ‘history of violating court orders,’ and the fact he was ‘convicted of a violent felony.’

Lanez has been held in jail since December when he was found guilty on three gun-related charges.

It was found that he shot international star Megan – real name Megan Jovon Ruth Pete – in the foot in 2020 after a party.

She was left wounded after the shooting and needed to undergo surgery to remove bullet fragments from her feet.

He chose not to take the stand during the trial.

The jury deliberated for one day before convicting Lanez of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, having a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
