Kevin Costner has a lot on his plate right now with his contentious divorce from Christine Baumgartner and his four-part film series, Horizon. However, when he is ready to put himself back out there on the dating market, there is one very familiar face who is ready to make her move: Meg Ryan.
Ryan might have to get in line because Costner has suddenly become the hottest bachelor in Hollywood — Kim Cattrall is shooting her shoot, too. But, the rom-com sweetheart “always had a soft spot for Kevin,” according to a National Enquirer source, via RadarOnline. “Whenever they’d run into each other at showbiz events through the years, there was a major spark,” they added. In the years after her divorce from Dennis Quaid and romances with Russell Crowe and John Mellencamp, Ryan still carried their undeniable chemistry with her.

What makes this romance quite possible in the future is the fact that he’s geographically desirable. He lives in Carpinteria, California and she’s just down the street in Santa Barbara. There are endless opportunities for a Hallmark meet-cute at the coffee shop or bookstore. Ryan is “putting the word out among their mutual friends” just so Costner knows that “when he’s ready to date again” he should “give her a call.”
After navigating a rocky relationship road with Mellencamp, Ryan has “not given up on dating forever,” especially now that Costner is (almost) available. “Kevin checks every box of what she’d love in her next guy,” the insider noted. “He’s passionate about his craft, he’s a musician and he’s good-looking.” The Yellowstone star still has a long road ahead of him before his divorce is wrapped up, but if Ryan is patient, fans might see a new Hollywood power couple in the making.
