Since its 1975 founding, Oakley has become a world-class name in sports equipment gear. But out of its entire catalog, a select few particularly striking eyewear options surfaced from the company over the years \u2013 donning stars like Michael Jordan, Dennis Rodman and more. Now one of those signature styles, the MUZM Mars X-Metal Leather, is making a comeback after 25 years.<\/p>\n
The reissued MUZM Mars X-Metal Leather first made its debut in 1998 and was designed with the help of basketball legend, Michael Jordan. The resurrected silhouette sees the original X-Metal alloy frame and is heightened by brown leather fabrics sewn into the frame. Complimenting the frame are the sunglasses’ warm-hued Prizim 24K lenses.<\/p>\n
To bring back the silhouette, Oakley recreated the eyewear with a direct metal laser sintering 3-D-printing process. Specifically, the technique melts down X-Metal powder, which yields new structured forms. Just earlier this month, Oakley presented its new collaboration with Brain Dead \u2013 offering up a selection of futuristic eyewear and footwear.<\/p>\n
