One mum has come to the rescue as she\u2019s revealed her easy, no sew Halloween costume that all parents can make \u2013 and your kids will love it too.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But the best part is that the quick win outfit also won\u2019t break the bank, as it uses various bargain buys that can be bought on the high street, or that you might even have sitting at home already.<\/p>\n
YouTuber TheWellsWays explained that she\u2019d created a DIY Peter<\/span> Pan costume for her young son.<\/p>\n The total price tag for the green t-shirt and trouser combo with a cute matching hat and accessories? Under \u00a38.<\/p>\n The social media mum, who is based in the US, then laid out the easy to follow step-by-step guide, and what you need to make the outfit in mere minutes.<\/p>\n First, she revealed she\u2019d bought a green polo top for just $4, approximately \u00a33.20.\u00a0<\/p>\n She continued: \u201cI ordered it a size larger than his typical size, just so that it\u2019d be a little oversized.\u201d<\/p>\n The parent then cut a zig zag line at the bottom of the shirt, as she said: \u201cI created slits at the bottom and then cut the sleeves and cut the slits on the sleeves as well.\u201d<\/p>\n TheWellsWays also advised parents to try it on their little one to make sure both the length and the arms looked the right size and weren\u2019t swamping them.\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n Once the zig zag pattern had been cut and the top was ready, the mum then focused her attention on the hat part of the costume.\u00a0<\/p>\n She went on to say: \u201cFor the hat, I found two smaller felt pieces (each priced at around 30p) that matched the colour of the shirt that I had.<\/p>\n The creative blogger then used a glue gun to connect the two pieces of material together so that they were layered on top of one another.\u00a0<\/p>\n When the glue was dry and safe to touch, the mum folded the material inwards to create a triangle top and a rectangle base \u2013 sticking down each part with the glue gun as she went.\u00a0<\/p>\n She continued to use some red feathers she had previously \u2013 but which could be bought cheaply from places like Hobbycraft and The Range \u2013 and added them to the side or top of the hat for a finishing touch.<\/p>\n The YouTube creator then shared how the next<\/span> step was to make Peter Pan\u2019s dagger, which she made from leftover cardboard from packaging and paper \u2013 meaning it cost no money at all.\u00a0<\/p>\n I ended up having all these materials on hand, so in total the dagger cost me zero to make<\/p>\n First up, she drew a dagger free-hand on the piece of paper to act as a stencil, which she cut out twice and then bound together with tape to make a 3D dagger, which she then covered in foil.\u00a0<\/p>\n She then used the stencil to make the same shape out of the recycled cardboard, as she said: \u201cI ended up having all these materials on hand, so in total the dagger cost me zero to make.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n TheWellsWays then moved onto the final part of the costume \u2013 the bottom half.\u00a0<\/p>\n She later told her subscribers: \u201cSince I did already have a green pair of leggings and brown shoes on hand for my son already, the last thing I had to make was a brown belt.<\/p>\n \u201cFor the belt, I grabbed a 42 cent piece of felt and cut it into strips, measured out at my son\u2019s waist length, and then just tied it up at the back.\u201d<\/p>\n The tutorial then cut to sweet footage of her two-and-a-half year old modelling his costume and pretending to be Peter Pan.<\/p>\nRead More in Halloween<\/h2>\n
