Kid Cudi, aka Scott Ramon Mescudi, has taken to Instagram to reveal that he is launching a new fashion brand. In the announcement post, the multi-hyphenate has revealed that the brand is launching in collaboration with prolific Japanese designer and HUMAN MADE founder NIGO. NIGO has had a history in collaborating with artists, having found Billionaire Boys Club with Pharrell Williams in 2003.

NIGO has been a staple in the streetwear world for decades. With his involvement with BAPE to HUMAN MADE and his role as creative director at KENZO, the designer has been credited with some of the most industry-changing trends, bringing a unique perspective to both streetwear and luxury. Just earlier this year, Cudi launched his own brand Members of the Rage presenting its first collection during Paris Fashion Week. Continuing to bring ’90s grunge with futuristic hip-hop styles, Members of the Rage gives Cudi a chance to explore the Man on the Moon motif at greater length and through a fashion lens. NIGO worked alongside Cudi for Members of the RAGE, lending his designs for some of the graphics for his label. Having already worked together, the next step in creating a collaborative brand only makes sense.

In the Instagram announcement post, Cudi can be seen wearing a t-shirt featuring his new brand’s moniker in playful text alongside a cartoonish wizard graphic. There is no further information regarding the launch of the brand except for the fact that it will be, “Made in Tokyo. Comin soon.” Take a look at the announcement below and stay tuned for more details.
