Alex Scott appeared to having a great time presenting BBC Football Focus on Saturday as she was seen enjoying a boozy drink live on air.<\/p>\n
The sports commentator, 38, was hosting the show from\u00a0Turf Moor in Burnley and didn’t shy away from getting involved in some match day traditions.<\/p>\n
She was seen getting the booze in early as she was joined on air by former England Women’s goalkeeper\u00a0Rachel Brown-Finnis and fellow pundit Dion Dublin.<\/p>\n
Rachel, who was born in Burnley, cheekily revealed she had a ‘welcome’ present for Alex and Dion as she gave them each a Benny and Hot alcoholic drink.<\/p>\n
A Benny and Hot is a 50\/50 mix of Benedictine liqueur and hot water and has been the unofficial\u00a0Burnley FC match day drink since after World War One.<\/p>\n

Filling them in on the tradition, Rachel said:\u00a0‘I have a little welcome, a tradition here at Burnley on the terraces. All the fans at half time go and have a Benny and Hot, so here’s a\u00a0Benedictine and Hot for you!’<\/p>\n
The trio then tucked into the drinks live on air with Alex asking if she should smell the alcoholic drink first, with Rachel urging her to just tuck in.<\/p>\n
Alex then looked very surprised and let\u00a0out a loud ‘woah’ as she had her first sip of the very boozy beverage.<\/p>\n
Rachel described the drink as ‘medicinal’, before joking:\u00a0‘That’s why we always have colour in our cheeks and a spring in our step!’<\/span><\/p>\n Alex held her partially drank beverage in her hand as she continued to host Football Focus, with viewers praising her for getting involved in the traditions.<\/span><\/p>\n Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one wrote: ‘<\/span>Well, if Alex Scott’s a fan of Bene and Hot, she must have some serious Burnley FC spirit!
