Amy Dowden shared the heartbreaking update that friend and influencer Nicky Newman had died aged 35. <\/p>\n
The cancer campaigner was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer, which had also spread to her bones, five and a half years ago.<\/p>\n
Amy, 33, who has been documenting her own cancer journey, shared her friend\u2019s farewell post with a promise to the beloved social media star.<\/p>\n
Newman had penned her message to followers, starting with the shocking statement: \u2018If you\u2019re reading this it means I have died.\u2019<\/p>\n
Adding her familiar humour, she continued: \u2018I made it 5 & half years though, not bad for a stage 4 breastie ey.\u2019<\/p>\n
The Strictly professional shared her friend\u2019s post on her Instagram story weeks after her own third round of chemo.<\/p>\n

\u2018The most beautiful ray of sunshine who has done so much and created a community and legacy that will live on,\u2019 wrote Amy.<\/p>\n
The dancer announced her own diagnosis of stage three breast cancer in May of this year, with brutally honest posts about hair loss and her health.<\/p>\n
Newman, better known as NickNackLou to her 248,000 followers on Instagram, had been taking a break from social media days before the announcement.<\/p>\n
Amy continued: \u2018I hope you know all the help and awareness you have done and will always continue to do so. I remember when I found out I needed a port, your page I turned to.<\/p>\n
\u2018I will forever hold onto your lovely voice notes and will always think of you when I say Welsh Love. Thank you for being utterly incredible and a true inspiration.<\/p>\n
\u2018I promise to grab life and deeply miss your radiance and positivity.\u2019 <\/p>\n

She finished her note by sending love to her family, including husband Mr. G who posted his own note on the Instagram page.<\/p>\n
In her own post, Newman wrote: \u2018And none of this \u201cshe fought her battle nonsense\u201d, I didn\u2019t lose anything, the cancer eventually took over & that\u2019s okay, we all knew this would happen.<\/p>\n
\u2018I don\u2019t think we are ever prepared to hear the words, we think we are indestructible & a magic cure will appear, but the truth is we all live this life day to day (we just knew our days are shorter).<\/p>\n
\u2018So please promise me to cherish those around you and give your friends and loved ones the biggest squeezes! GO GRAB LIFE! You never truly know what is coming around the corner \u2013 so don\u2019t take anything for granted.\u2019<\/p>\n
