IT\u2019S A WRAP: <\/strong>If you have a few wraps left, turn them into homemade tortilla chips.<\/p>\n

Preheat the oven up to around 180C to 200C.<\/p>\n

Brush both sides of the tortillas with oil and cut into triangles with scissors.<\/p>\n

Bake in a single layer on a couple of baking sheets for around six to eight minutes, then sprinkle them with salt.<\/p>\n

You can serve them on their own or with dips.<\/p>\n

For more of a meal, pile the cooked chips on to one baking dish then add chopped fresh tomato, a few dollops of soft cheese, a chopped red onion and some spicy tinned beans.<\/p>\n

Pop them back in the oven for five minutes then serve as a delicious dish of DIY nachos.<\/p>\n

Soft apples can be used up in smoothies and are great in pickles, chutneys or even added to a curry.<\/p>\n

You can also stew old apples to make apple sauce or use up in crumble.<\/p>\n

Another option is to slice up an apple after quickly cooking it in boiling water, freeze it in a single layer, then pack into bags once frozen.<\/p>\n
