The National Television Awards are taking place at The O2 Arena in London this year for the 28th annual ceremony.<\/p>\n
Millions have voted for their favourite shows and TV moments and presenters in the run up to the big day, which host Joel Dommett will reveal.<\/p>\n
Trusty soaps, Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks\u00a0are up for the Serial Drama award.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Meanwhile,\u00a0Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly\u00a0are in the running to bag the Best TV Presenter award for the 22nd year in a row.<\/p>\n
The fans favourites duo are the bookies favourite to scoop the award and continue their record-breaking streak for another year.<\/p>\n
Bookies have placed Ant and Dec 1\/4 to win, with next in line Alison at 5\/1, then Bradley Walsh in 6\/1, with Martin Lewis and Claudia Winkleman\u00a0both on odds of 10\/1.<\/p>\n
While the pair have been making history with their win, they faced backlash from viewers last year after bagging the National Television Award for Best Presenter for the 21st year in a row.<\/p>\n
The Geordie duo were both unable to attend last year after contracting Covid, with Stephen Mulhern accepting the gong on their behalf.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It will compete against Clarkson’s Farm, Sort Your Life Out and The Martin Lewis Money Show Live.<\/p>\n
Two shows presented by Ant and Dec are in the running for the Bruce Forsyth entertainment award – I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and Saturday Night Takeaway.<\/p>\n
The duo have announced they will be taking a break from the latter show\u00a0after its 20th series in 2024.<\/p>\n
Also in the running are Gogglebox and The Masked Singer, while Britain’s Got Talent, Strictly Come Dancing, The Great British Bake Off and The Great British Sewing Bee are nominated for best talent show.<\/p>\n

In a new category this year, Piers Morgan is nominated for the TV interview prize for Piers Morgan Uncensored on Talk TV, alongside Louis Theroux Interviews…, The Chris & Rosie Ramsey Show and The Graham Norton Show.<\/p>\n
In the drama performance category, Happy Valley stars James Norton and Sarah Lancashire will face off against each other, competing against Vera’s Brenda Blethyn and Call the Midwife’s Judy Parfitt, as well as India Amarteifio for her role in Bridgerton prequel Queen Charlotte.<\/p>\n
The climax of Happy Valley is in the running for the returning drama prize, alongside Stranger Things, Call The Midwife and Vera.<\/p>\n
Netflix’s Queen Charlotte is also recognised in the new drama category, alongside Death In Paradise spin-off Beyond Paradise, police drama Blue Lights and viral sensation Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega as Addams Family character Wednesday Addams.<\/p>\n
In comedy, Ted Lasso will compete with the spectres from Ghosts, Young Sheldon and\u00a0Brassic to take home the gong.<\/p>\n
Newly announced Strictly Come Dancing contestant Bobby Brazier is nominated in the newcomer category for his role as Freddie Slater in EastEnders, alongside Benjamin Chivers for The Devil’s Hour, Channique Sterling-Brown for Coronation Street and Emmerdale’s Lewis Cope.<\/p>\n
Storylines competing for serial drama are Cindy Beale’s epic return from the dead on EastEnders, Emmerdale’s storyline about male mental health and Ryan Connor being attacked with acid on Coronation Street.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, in the wake of the Phillip Schofield scandal, the NTAs will see This Morning’s Holly Willoughby put on a united front with her co-stars Alison Hammond, who is up for a Best Presenter nomination.<\/p>\n

This year, Holly is said to be determined to lead ITV’s This Morning to defend its title of best daytime show\u00a0– despite Holly being booed at the event last year.<\/p>\n
The ITV morning programme has been on its own winning streak in the daytime category for the last number of years.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It comes after she returned to the programme alongside Alison on Monday following an eight-week summer break, to lackluster reviews.<\/p>\n
Earlier this year, the show was thrown into turmoil when her long-running co-host and ‘BFF’ Schofield resigned after admitting to an ‘unwise but not illegal’ affair with a younger male colleague.<\/p>\n
The pair faced boos from the crown at last year’s NTAs following the scandal in which they appeared to skip the queue to see the Queen lying in state.<\/p>\n
Despite Holly not being nominated for an award this year, it didn’t stop her rallying behind Alison.<\/p>\n
She took to Instagram and wrote: ‘Having been lucky enough to have this summer break to focus on the children, it\u2019s now lovely to be back on the sofa and there was certainly joy in abundance with Alison Hammond today!\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘This wonderful lady has been nominated in the ‘Best Presenter’ category at tomorrow night\u2019s NTA\u2019s and there is still time to vote for her.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She added: ‘This week\u2019s lunar phase is the Third Quarter Moon. It\u2019s known as a good time to release negativity and any old habits that might be hindering you, which sounds very fitting for the new beginnings that come with the arrival of September.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘Let\u2019s make every effort to shed anything that\u2019s holding us back and move forwards with light, love and positivity.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
Holly and Phillip are known for turning up to the morning show, still dressed in their NTA gowns, straight after a night on the booze\u00a0– which is certain that there won’t be a repeat this year.<\/p>\n

Host Joel, <\/span>who rolled into the NTAs riding on a scooter for his debut hosting in 2021, recently revealed\u00a0<\/span>the boozy, backstage secrets prior to the big day.<\/p>\n He confessed: ‘Everyone really goes for it. Everyone on telly is there and I’m the only one working, isn’t that mad? It’s such a weird thing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n ‘I’m like on the stage and can see everyone having a really lovely time and having a drink and so from my perspective, it’s really odd.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n ‘I’m the sober one who’s sort of just wandering through and people definitely go for it because we don’t see each other.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n ‘It’s the one time of the year where you really get to catch up with everyone.
