<\/p>\nA HOMEOWNER has left others envious after sharing the epic discovery she made while renovating her home which was built in 1958.<\/p>\n
Krys Melo (@melodramarama) said she decided to take a closer look at the case opening in the walls of her house after they caught her attention.<\/p>\n

She shared her suspicions on TikTok over five years after she first moved into her Palm Springs home.<\/p>\n
The DIY enthusiast zoomed the camera into the wall as she spotted something that many people would have missed after getting settled in their house.<\/p>\n
The text over the video read: \u201cI\u2019ve been suspicious about this case opening in the wall and I think I found pocket doors.<\/p>\n
\u201cYay! It works!\u201d she wrote after unveiling the doors.<\/p>\n
Krys found a satin bronze paint that matched the original doorknobs to give vintage handles which she found online a new lease of life.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cLet\u2019s see what this side is hiding, there\u2019s the twin!\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n
Her partner demonstrated how both sides of the door slid apart as the couple celebrated their find.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cMidcentury restoration discoveries,\u201d Krys captioned the post.<\/p>\n
<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n She added the hashtags #midcenturymodern, #homerenovation, #restoration, and #oldhouse.<\/p>\n Viewers were amazed by Krys\u2019s discovery and admitted they would love to have pocket doors in their own houses.<\/p>\n Pocket doors are handy for saving both floor and wall space. They are placed on a track which allows them to disappear into the wall when slid open. <\/p>\n One person wrote: \u201cMy grandma\u2019s old house used to have these, I absolutely loved them.\u201d<\/p>\n Another commented: \u201cI adore pocket doors. Gimme all pocket doors and I\u2019d be happy. So much more functional space! Jelly.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n A third said: \u201cI live in a place with pocket doors they\u2019re pretty but if they go off track or break it\u2019s hell to fix them.\u201d<\/p>\n A fourth penned: \u201cIt really doesn\u2019t get more convenient than pocket doors.
