MOST of us think of Disneyland as a place of fairytale-like happiness and non-stop smiles.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

But Magical Girl Melanie, who used to work as a character at the theme park, says it wasn\u2019t always a place of total joy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In fact, she explained in a TikTok posted to her 240,000 followers, she once made \u201ca grown woman cry\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Melanie \u2013 who played Drizella, one of the wicked stepsisters from Cinderella \u2013 was working on a dinner service when she approached a table of parents eating with their adult children.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The family had piled their books at the end of the table, indicating that they wanted each character to come and sign their autograph.\u00a0<\/p>\n

When Melanie approached, she saw an extra book in the pile, and asked innocently whether it was full.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Apparently, the mum sassily replied saying: \u201cThat book is for princesses ONLY to sign.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former Disneyland employee tells viewers that at this point, she made a \u201chuge deal out of it\u201d, jokingly asking: \u201cWhat happens when I marry a prince later and I\u2019m a princess, and you didn\u2019t let me sign the princess book?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Melanie says she then slowly reached over to pick up the forbidden book, as the woman\u2019s family laughed along.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cSo now I\u2019m flipping through the book,\u201d she recounts, \u201cand I see Aladdin is in there, and I\u2019m like \u2018Since when was Aladdin a princess? He got to sign it.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The Drizella actress then turned to a blank page which had \u201cnothing else around it\u201d \u2013 \u201cshe could have ripped it out\u201d \u2013 and proceeded to sign the book.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But when Melanie was a few tables away, she recalls, she \u201cgot a weird feeling\u201d and looked back over, only to see the woman had burst into tears.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just stunned and have no idea what to do,\u201d she confesses. \u201cI had never even come close to making someone cry.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cEven as far as stepsisters at Disney World go, I was pretty tame.\u201d<\/p>\n

She was eventually approached by the manager, but was let off the hook after explaining all she\u2019d done was sign a book.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI still think about that lady to this day,\u201d says Melanie. \u201cI hope she got over it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The actress regularly opens up to her followers about her experience working at the park.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She claims that she was forced to quit the role a couple of years ago, after being paid less than $12 an hour because she wasn\u2019t \u201cpretty enough\u201d for one of the major princess roles.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Melanie also disclosed that she struggled with body-shaming while working at the park, because Disney taught her \u201cone of the main self-worth things I have was being a size 0\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n
