{"id":82734,"date":"2023-08-27T22:09:03","date_gmt":"2023-08-27T22:09:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mylifestylemax.com\/?p=82734"},"modified":"2023-08-27T22:09:03","modified_gmt":"2023-08-27T22:09:03","slug":"midsomer-murders-viewers-cringe-over-holly-willoughbys-acting-debut","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mylifestylemax.com\/entertainment\/midsomer-murders-viewers-cringe-over-holly-willoughbys-acting-debut\/","title":{"rendered":"Midsomer Murders viewers cringe over Holly Willoughby&#039;s acting debut"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/SEC_169119026-6a9a.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Holly Willoughby has dipped her toes into acting with a blink-and-you\u2019ll miss it cameo on Midsomer Murders and fans aren\u2019t impressed.<\/p>\n<p>The This Morning star, 42, appeared as the \u2018Queen of Daytime\u2019 in a mystic mystery on the popular ITV drama, which she said she \u2018loved\u2019 taking part in.<\/p>\n<p>Fans were speculating what her \u2018dream come true\u2019 role would be, with some suggesting she might even be the victim or the murderer.<\/p>\n<p>With such build-up and the episode being filmed two years ago, her small cameo in the episode The Witches of Angel\u2019s Rise\u00a0left fans wanting more.<\/p>\n<p>Holly can be seen sitting on a throne as the guest of honour at a psychic convention as the show aired on Sunday (August 27).<\/p>\n<p>DS Winter announced: \u2018It\u2019s the Queen of Daytime\u2019, with his partner quickly responding: \u2018Gloria Hunniford?\u2019 <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/themes\/metro-parent\/img\/fallback.png\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/themes\/metro-parent\/img\/fallback.png\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/themes\/metro-parent\/img\/fallback.png\"><\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately for Holly, her first-ever acting stint has not gone down well with fans who accused the show of \u2018forced\u2019 dialogue.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018How much did Holly Willoughby get paid for appearing for 2 seconds \ud83e\udd14\ud83e\udd37\ud83c\udffc\u200d\u2640\ufe0f\ud83e\udd26\ud83c\udffc\u200d\u2640\ufe0f #MidsomerMurders?!?!\u2019, said one viewer.<\/p>\n<p>Another took a swipe at the Queen of Daytime title and said: \u2018Ah yes, top quality realistic not-at-all-forced dialogue there ITV.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>A third joked: \u2018How much did Holly Willoughby pay the #MidsomerMurders writers to get that line in \ud83d\ude02.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Is that the Queen of Daytime? As if anyone would say that,\u2019 dismissed someone else.<\/p>\n<p>Others were simply unimpressed by how little she seemed to be in the show, expecting a much larger part for the presenter.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Cwc9w1ONez7\/<\/p>\n<p>One asked if \u2018that\u2019s it\u2019 after her first appearance, which just saw her perched on a throne at a distance.<\/p>\n<p>Later in the episode, Holly reappeared ready to say her lines.<\/p>\n<p>Well <em>line<\/em>, singular, which was an exciting: \u2018Excuse me.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>This only added to viewers\u2019 outrage, as one said Holly did \u2018sod-all\u2019, while another ranted: \u2018So a walking part and spoke no more than two words.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Some fans were more supportive, with one viewer saying: \u2018\u201cIs that the Queen of Daytime?\u201d Yes.
