Jonathan Anderson‘s JW Anderson has teamed up with dancer and choreographer Michael Clark for an exclusive Fall/Winter FW23 collaboration presented at London Fashion Week. The runway show drew from the world of Michael Clark Company and “British culture at large,” pinpointing Jonathan’s obsession with homeland references.

After its unveiling in February, Michael Clark’s JW Anderson collaboration has finally arrived. The collection is a deep dive into Clark’s extensive archive, playing on dramatic graphics that are striking and bold.

Michael Clark-branded tank tops, distressed and rhinestone-encrusted knitwear, and shredded checkered suiting stand their ground with theatrical presence. Scribbled DENTIST,” “WITCH?,” “Y MALE” and “SHAMMAN” placards clung to turtleneck tops, commercially translated onto relaxed hoodies and caps. Distressed leather tops receive peace sign illustrations with glittered tips and shoulders, completing the collection with paint-splashed penis shirting and clutch bags that emulate the original show invite. 1 of 6

Jw Anderson2 of 6

Jw Anderson3 of 6

Jw Anderson4 of 6

Jw Anderson5 of 6

Jw Anderson6 of 6

Jw Anderson

Take a closer look at the Michael Clark x JW Anderson collaboration in the gallery above.
