THE best value theme parks have been revealed in the UK – with the cheapest found in Devon.
Families planning a trip to the theme park this summer will be able to make the most of their visit depending on how much the rides cost.
Big Domain, who conducted the study, analysed not only the price of the entrance fee based on two adults and two kids, but also the number of rides and TripAdvisor ratings, along with tags on Instagram.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Alton Towers came out on top as the best value, with more than 40 rides which includes 10 rollercoasters.
With it costing on average £162 for a family of four to visit, this works out to just 98p per ride.
It also has the most visitors with two million people visiting a day, and has the most Instagram hashtags too.
Also cheap was Flamingo Land which has more than 52 rides but fewer rollercoasters, although this works out to an even cheaper 67p per ride.
Coming in third was the popular Legoland, which was seen as one of the most inclusive, having 22 rides without height restrictions, along with six water rides and four rollercoasters.
Flying under the radar was Crealy in Devon – while less well known than the other UK theme parks, it was the cheapest on the list with more than 60 rides, and working out to just 36p per ride.
Despite making the list, Blackpool Pleasure Beach is the priciest per ride – while having more than 40, including 10 rollercoasters, it works out to £1.05 per ride.
For the cheapest entrance fee, families should head to Woodlands in Devon, which is around £60 for a family of four.
We've rounded up some of the budget friendly family days out for this summer, which includes half price theme park tickets.
