HAVE you got a flight booked with British Airways, but have to change your plans?
Here's all we know on how to cancel a flight with the international carrier.
How do you cancel a British Airways flight?
Having to cancel a flight can be a disappointing experience, but thankfully British Airways make the process fairly straightforward.
If your journey is due to be completed by September 30, 2022 (this includes departure and return), you can cancel and claim a voucher to the value of the original booking which will be valid until the following year.
For Reward Flight, Avios Reward Flight Saver, Companion or Gold Upgrade Voucher bookings made before June 7, 2022, if your travel is completed by the September 30, 2022 and no changes have been made from June 8, 2022 onwards, you'll be able to cancel without a fee.
Your Companion or Gold Upgrade Voucher's expiry date revert back to its original date.
If eligible, you can claim your voucher here.
Otherwise, log into Manage My Booking on the company's website to explore the options available.

Will I get my money back for the flight?
It appears that if you choose to cancel your flight, you will be given a voucher for a future flight, rather than a cash refund.
However, you can get a refund for flights that are cancelled by the airline, and parts of your journey that you didn't fly due to delays.

How much does it cost to change a British Airways flight?
According to the British Airways website, you can change your flight dates, but you'll have to pay any difference in the fair, as well as a change booking fee.
The cost can therefore vary, so it's best to get in touch with the airline direct to find out how much it could set you back.
If you booked before June 7, 2022 for a trip that will be completed by September 30, 2022, you won't have to pay the first change booking fee.
