Christmas is fast approaching and brings with it Christmas film season – and for most of us, The Holiday is top of the list.
The film sees Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz playing two women who decide to embark on a home exchange – Kate heads to Los Angeles where she resides in a lavish mansion, Cameron to a cosy countryside cottage.
But now, you could live out your very own Holiday-inspired dreams as the cottage which inspired Rosehill Cottage, where Cameron’s character stays, has just gone up for sale.
The picturesque property inspired the film’s crew to create Rosehill Cottage (which sadly, is fake), thanks to its cosy interiors, picturesque countryside surroundings and… well, it’s film set-worthy vibe.
Actually named Honeysuckle Cottage, this beautiful three-bedroom house is located in Holmbury St Mary, and it has everything you could want for a countryside retreat.
Just like in the film, it’s surrounded by lush greenery and has a little white picket gate entrance.
Inside you’ll find a spacious living room with a large fireplace, a kitchen with plenty of space for whipping up some delicious Christmas feasts.
One of the snug bedrooms looks almost identical to the one in the film where Cameron’s character tucks into dinner in bed, although Honeysuckle Cottage does actually have a dining room for those who prefer to dine at the table.
The only downside? You’re going to need £650,000 to buy it according to the listing on Rightmove.
Of course not all of us have a casual £650,000 to splurge on a house because it inspired a film – but if you need an alternative, then why not book into one of these beautiful British cottages for a week’s holiday that won’t break the bank.
It comes just a few months after the lavish Los Angeles mansion where Kate Winslet’s character stays went on sale, although that one was going for a cool $11.8 million (about £8 million).
