GREAT new for kids this Christmas as Chessington World of Adventures has announced their Santa's Grotto will go ahead this year.
While new social distancing guidelines will be in place, families will be able to visit Father Christmas, as well as take part in other festive activities including live pantos.
The theme park has revealed new images of what to expect, which will be a "snow-cial distance" from families along with regular use of hand "santa-tiser".
The meet-and-greet will be part of Chessington's Winter's Tail event, where kids can also choose a gift at his Toy Workshop.
Festive treats including Christmas cookies will be on offer from the elves in Mrs Christmas' kitchen, and a new Wild Christmas Panto with The Grufallo will go ahead too.
They hope to open to visitors from December 5, providing the UK lockdown ends, and will run until January 4.
The current restrictions, which ban all non-essential travel, are expected to end by December 2.
Chessington World of Adventures said: “With the current COVID-19 restrictions in England expected to end at the start of December, we are ho, ho, hoping to welcome guests to meet Father Christmas from Saturday December 5.
“While our Grotto has health and safety measures in place, we are confident our guests will still be able to feel that festive magic if we are able to reopen our gates in December.”
Families must pre-book the event, with tickets starting from £20.
Other theme parks have faced closure due to the pandemic, with Alton Towers yet to announce an opening date.
