Woman praised for staring at ‘creepy’ old man she caught staring at her in gym

A woman was left fuming when she caught an older man repeatedly staring at her as she worked out in a gym.

Personal trainer Heidi Aragon, from US, said she called her husband over to stand next to her in a bid to block him, but the man wouldn't stop staring.

She exposed the gym-goer on TikTok and said: "Don't sit there and tell me you're not doing something when I have proof."

Ini the clip, Heidi places the phone on a bench to record her form while she is doing squats and she stops as soon as she notices a man walking over.

"This creepy old guy at the gym kept coming over and staring at me," she explains in text.

"So I told my husband, and he came over and worked out next to me."

Despite her husband blocking the man's line of sight, he appears to continue to stare through the mirror reflection.

Heidi puts down the dumbbell, stops her workout and turns around to stare back at the man in green top.

She continues: "I thought he got the picture. I attempted to do my set. Then I got fed up and went over and addressed him."

The microphone picks up a faint conversation of Heidi asking the man to "stop this" after she walks out of frame.

"I told him if he's gonna work out in this corner, he needed to stop staring and making me uncomfortable – his response was 'I'm just looking around'," the TikToker adds.

"I then told him I record my workouts and I have him on film. He shut up real quick."

Some viewers called for "women-only gyms" in the hope of stopping situations like this happening.

One wrote: "This is the reason women stop going to the gym. I only work out in my room now."

A second praised: "You did good by confronting him! These type of men only go to stare at women and not workout. See it all the time!"

"That's good you confronted him and have it on video," a third added. "Try and have your husband with you when you guys go to the gym. You did the the right thing."
