These experts say the unequal treatment of taxes and over-reliance on income tax are two major features of the system that need to change as well as higher taxes on capital gains, the introduction of death duties and a hike in GST as part of a major reform to help the federal budget, strengthen the economy and cut taxes on ordinary workers.
