Coronation Street’s Sarah Platt actress Tina O'Brien and her former co-star and on screen husband Ryan Thomas split in 2009 after a six year relationship.
While the couple, who share daughter Scarlett, 13, together, were said to previously be on good terms with each other, reports emerged that Tina, 38, “smashed” Ryan’s car mirror with a bat during a heated row.
It was reported that the exes had an argument at 1am on Sunday 27 February after the actress had been partying with friends. A wing mirror from Ryan's car was smashed off and the paintwork was said to be scratched during the argument. It's understood Ryan has accused Tina of causing the damage.
A source told The Sun: "Ryan and Tina have a fractious relationship. They are not on good terms and that tension boiled over.
"Tina, who was at a pal’s house party, came out into the street to meet him as he drove up. Soon after that his car was damaged with the baseball bat.
"It was quite a disturbing incident and Ryan drove away as soon as he could. They’ve not spoken since and Ryan is furious."
Here we take a look at the ups and downs of the former couple…
Tina speaks out
The actress had claimed she was “devastated” after Ryan split with her just one week after their daughter Scarlett’s first birthday.
"He said he didn't love me any more," she told new magazine, admitting they had struggled with parenthood.
"He said I didn't do it for him any more. Those were his words. I was absolutely devastated. He said he didn't want the responsibility of a relationship with me."
Ryan is said to have “swerved” an invitation to Tina’s wedding back in 2018 amid reports that the pair were “good friends” following their split.
Tina’s new husband, Adam Crofts, said at the time that it would be “wrong” not to invite Ryan to the ceremony at Manchester’s King Street Tavern on New Year’s Eve, however Ryan was seen jetting off on holiday and chose not to attend.
Baby announcement ‘row’
Tina appeared to share a “cryptic” post after Ryan and his wife-to-be, Lucy Mecklenburgh, announced they were set to welcome their first child together back in August 2019.
The former TOWIE star and Ryan shared a video in which they were seen sharing the news with his daughter Scarlett that she would become an older sibling.
Taking to social media after the video was shared, Tina shared a quote reading: “Don't waste your time with explanations. People will hear what they want to hear.”
She later shared a second post which said: “Don’t always trust what you see on social media. Even salt looks like sugar.”
