Speaking about the decision behind the name, Lacey exclusively told us: "I knew a girl once and her sister was called Trilby Fox and I always thought it was such a cool name, and I quite liked it for a boy, so I’ve had it in my head for a really long time!
"It’s nice because when people say, 'What’s his name?” you say, 'Trilby, like the hat.' When we had Dusty, we said, 'Dusty, like Dusty Springfield.'"
The moniker is a unisex name and means “sings with trills”.
Trilby is also a novel by George du Maurier and was published in 1894 where the main character is a girl called Trilby O’Ferrall.
A Trilby hat was also coined following the stage adaption of the novel where the character wore a narrow-brimmed felt hat in the first London production of the play.
The moniker for a boy’s name is of Old English origin.
A fox also symbolises physical and mental responsiveness and ability to be adapt in challenging situations.
