Sir Elton John cancels sold-out concert over ear infection, not bomb threat

Sir Elton John has postponed several shows in Orlando, Florida.

The “Candle In the Wind” singer, 71, was scheduled to perform at Amway Center Tuesday night, but the sold-out crowd was informed half an hour after showtime that the concert had been canceled.

John’s representative, Fran Curtis, confirmed to USA TODAY that the Orlando stops on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour were abruptly delayed due to “an ear infection.”

Amway Center took to Twitter to spread the news: “We’re sorry to announce that due to an ear infection, Elton John is unable to perform tonight. The rescheduled Orlando date will be announced in the near future so please hold onto your tickets.”
