My womb condition means I take strong medication and I’m worried I’ll get addicted

DEAR DEIDRE: AN agonising womb condition means I have to take morphine and other strong medication.

I’m worried I’m going to get addicted to these painkillers.

I have endometriosis and am in severe pain all the time. I spend my days in bed with hot water bottles.

I’ve had surgery but it comes back. I could get specialist surgery but it’s very costly.

The NHS waiting lists are very long and lots of ops have been cancelled because of the pandemic.

I’m 26 and this is so debilitating. I have never had a boyfriend or a job, as it affects my life so much.

I still live with my parents because I couldn’t manage alone. I’m desperate for someone to help me.
