A mother claims having children helped her drop five dress sizes.
Jasmine Smith, of Sheffield, weighed 14st when she fell pregnant with her eldest son Oscar McIver, now three.
The 27-year-old claims suffering from morning sickness and feeling ‘constantly thirsty’ meant she didn’t put on any weight while expecting.

Before: Jasmine, pictured before falling pregnant, always felt confident in her figure and didn’t try to lose weight while pregnant. However she was 2st 7lbs lighter a day after Oscar’s birth
A day after Oscar was born Jasmine weighed 11st 7lbs.
Jasmine, who is 5ft, lost even more weight following the birth of her youngest son Logan, one, and has swapped her size 14-16 pre-pregnancy clothes for a size 6-8.
The mother-of-two also complained that she felt ‘left out’ because she doesn’t have stretch marks like other mothers.
She said: ‘I’m so happy with my body now and I couldn’t be more satisfied with how having children has made me and how it has made me feel.
‘I was quite overweight before I had kids. At my heaviest, I weighed 14 stone. I’m only 5 foot tall so I was quite overweight for my height.

‘I felt fine, I was happy with my body weight. I didn’t try to lose weight. I was quite satisfied with being overweight.’
While pregnant with Oscar Jasmine claims she didn’t gain or lose a pound but her weight dropped almost immediately after her son’s birth.
‘A day or so later I stood on the scales and I had lost 2st 7lbs,’ she said. ‘I don’t know how it happened. I didn’t lose weight while pregnant, I just didn’t put any on.
‘When I got home from the hospital, I made sure I went jogging when I had a spare minute. I kept jogging around the block and keeping fit running up and down the stairs.

‘I thought, if I have lost weight while I’ve been pregnant maybe I can lose more now I’ve had the baby.’
Jasmine put an end to ‘nibbling all day’ and stopped her habit of takeaways and fizzy drinks. Instead she eats the same healthy food as her sons and drinks up to 5 pints a day.
She also casually jogs several times a week and does leg raises, sit ups and crunches when she gets a moment in between working and taking care of sons.
Jasmine said she had a similar experience when she fell pregnant with Logan at 26.
Jasmine, pictured before (left) and after (right), said she worries other parents might not believe her sons are biologically hers because she doesn’t have stretch marks
‘After I had him, as soon as I stood on the scales a week later I was the same weight I was before I got pregnant,’ Jasmine continued. ‘I don’t know how it happened.
‘I have continually lost weight since I had him a year ago, and I now weigh 8st 7lbs compared to 14st.’
Council administrator Jasmine said the weight loss has boosted her confidence.
‘I was never down because I thought I was big,’ she said. ‘I never let it get to me because I had people who loved me around me and they love me no matter what.

Jasmine, pictured before her weight loss, said she always felt sexy and confident but considered herself ‘bigger’ than her friends. She now shops without worrying about her size
‘I do feel much sexier now. Partly because I’ve lost weight but also because of my clothes. I’m looking at my clothes and I can wear anything now and it looks good.
‘I did feel sexy when I was bigger but I knew that if I wore something [in a specific style] it might look inappropriate, whereas now I can wear what I like and it looks good.
‘That sounds very egotistical but it feels like when I go shopping now I’m not looking for big sizes or thinking “this is going to hang out here, this is going to hang out there”.’
Jasmine also has no stretch marks, which she claims leaves her feeling ‘left out’.
She continued: ‘I’m happy about my body but I feel guilty as well because my friends have all got children and they have stretch marks or their bodies have changed.

Mother-of-two Jasmine, pictured today, overhauled her lifestyle after having children
‘When I go places such as swimming with my kids, I think people are questioning if they’re my children because I don’t have any “parent” marks on me…
‘I do question if people think I’m their biological mum because I haven’t got the marks on me.
‘Most mums refer to them as warrior marks or war scars or something like that and I haven’t got anything physically on my body to prove I gave birth to them. I do feel left out sometimes.
‘People think I am ridiculous for feeling like this because I haven’t got any stretch marks and I should be embracing it but I feel like because I haven’t got the marks it’s just something I should have as a parent.’
