Miley Cyrus has been undergoing a major fashion makeunder while promoting her new single “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart,” stepping out in one chic, head-to-toe black ensemble after the next.
But on Monday, the 26-year-old pop star was back to her old quirky style in a T-shirt that made a serious political statement.
The “Younger Now” singer left Electric Lady Studios in New York City wearing a red and brown plaid blazer and matching wide-leg trousers by Stella McCartney, paired with a big fuzzy brown hat, a number of gold chains, white Dr. Martens and a cropped CHNGE t-shirt that read “Protect kids not guns.”
This isn’t the first time Cyrus has taken a clear stance on gun reform. In March, she performed her song “The Climb” at the March For Our Lives rally in Washington, DC, later joining the crowd of protestors carrying a sign that read “Never Again” in response to the shooting that took place a month earlier at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida.
