Meghan Markle has been urged to stop being so affectionate with Prince Harry by an expert who believes their constant touching could have a negative impact.
The couple, who are due to become parents in the next few weeks, are nearly always seen holding hands and stroking each others backs when out and about at official events.
Most fans love their behaviour and many have said it’s refreshing to see members of the Royal Family so obviously in love.
But relationship expert Sheela Mackintosh-Stewart is concerned about the behaviour and claims it could overshadow Meghan’s important charity work.
She told the Express : "The old-fashioned British value of humility is not Meghan’s strongest suit and reports of her financial extravagance have grated on the public.
"This image is overshadowing Meghan’s extensive charity work and her patronage of the Grenfell Tower cookery book in September.
"Modesty can translate to quiet authority and this is a powerful tool for winning over the public.
"For instance, senior Royals never hold their spouses’ hands whilst on public Royal duties, a tradition that Meghan and Harry rejected to the irritation of many.
"It is unwise to pander to naysayers, but given the strength of backlash, it would be wise to take heed and keep hand holding to a minimum. Sometimes less is more."
But many people will probably disagree with her statement, as the couple’s fans can’t get enough of their affectionate relationship.
Writing on Twitter , one wrote: "This is unnecessary. No couple NEEDS to hold hands but if Meghan and harry like it and love to do it let them be it’s cute and normal. and not something to be criticized about and if Kate and will don’t want to do it that’s also fine. Whatever works for each couple is different."
Another added: "Honestly melts my heart how in love Harry and Meghan are and hold hands all the time it’s just so cuuuute."
One women writes: "I’m 46 years old; have been married for 17 and I STILL love to hold hands with my husband. Maybe that is why Harry picked her, cause she knows how to be loving… not like some british people (as I know). I’m mexican and we also are loving people. Love Harry & Meghan!"
