Meghan not making 2nd baby ‘priority’ in 2020- but it would be ‘lovely surprise’

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry seem to be loving their role as parents since welcoming baby Archie, but it doesn't look like the royal tot will be getting a little brother or sister any time soon.

Omid Scobie says the couple will return to work after their six-week break from royal duties with 'renewed energy' – and they have a packed schedule for 2020.

But he doesn't believe another pregnancy announcement is on the cards this year, telling OK! magazine that a second baby "isn't a priority" for the couple in the next 12 months.

However, anything is possible and Omid says it would be a "lovely surprise".

The couple welcomed Archie on May 6 last year and have ripped up the royal rulebook by shunning many traditions to do things their own way.

  • Cute detail in Meghan Markle's New Year photo of Harry and Archie that we all missed

We haven't seen Meghan and Harry together on royal duties since Remembrance Sunday, when they joined other members of the Royal Family for the service at the Cenotaph.

They travelled to Canada for Christmas and New Year, spending the holidays with the duchess' mum Doria Ragland who lives in America.

They released two new photos – one for Christmas and one to wish their followers a happy New Year – to the delight of fans around the world.

As well as a black and white snap for their festive card, they posted an adorable photo of Harry and little Archie standing in front of a beautiful lake during their trip.

Archie looked adorable in a brown coat, grey trousers, ugg boots and a little bobble hat , with Hary looking every inch the proud dad.

The Sussex family welcomed the New Year while staying at a £10million waterfront mansion , understood to belong to a Russian oligarch.

The powerful Russian businessman is so secretive that he insisted the estate agent handling his purchase sign a non-disclosure agreement.

The gorgeous property has everything a modern royal could desire – the gourmet kitchen is fitted with a top-of-the-range pizza oven, perfect for Harry, who has spoken of his love for a deep dish and thin crust.

One local, who runs a deli close to the sprawling home in British Columbia, told the Mirror: “We know that it’s owned by a Russian businessman, but he’s never around.”

They managed to go largely under the radar on their trip, however they did give one lucky couple a surprise when they offered to take their photo while out hiking.

Asymina Kantorowicz said she "froze up" when she realised who was offering to take a photo of her and her boyfriend Iliya Pavlovic in front of the stunning scenery in Vancouver Island's Horth Hill Regional Park on New Year's Day.

She claims she didn't recognise Meghan at first but said she looked familiar, saying it wasn't until she noticed the duchess' Suits co-star Abigail Spencer, who was out walking with them, that she clocked who it was.

She said: "I actually couldn’t believe who it was. Then I looked over to the side and that’s when I realized Prince Harry was standing there.

"I kept looking back and forth like, 'Is this actually happening?'"

Asymina and Iliya had been struggling to take the perfect snap with their selfie stick when they noticed a group walking towards them with two dogs.

As they passed, Meghan asked if they wanted her to take a photo.

Asymina said: "In that moment the only thing I could think to say, 'There's only so much that selfie sticks can do'.

"She laughed and responded with something like, 'We'll have to do better,' and then Harry said, 'No pressure'."

Meghan took three photos and the couples wished each other a Happy New Year before parting ways.
