I'm heartbroken after my ex took my children and won't tell me where they are

DEAR DEIDRE: WHEN my ex moved away, she took my two children with her. Now I don’t know where they are and it’s breaking my heart.

Our relationship ran into problems and in the end we split up.

At first I was seeing my children – two girls, aged eight and five – at least twice a week.

But within a few months my ex found a new partner. She told me I had to win access to my girls through the courts, which I did.

The problem with the court ruling is that as I have a low income, I couldn’t afford to pay for a contact centre to see my children. It’s totally unfair.

My ex is 32 and I’m 33. I have now heard she has moved house.

I have no way of contacting my children and can’t even send them birthday or Christmas presents.

DEIDRE SAYS: This situation is heartbreaking for you, of course, and it is cruel of your ex to cut you out of your daughters’ lives.
