Shh! Anti-agers no one but you need know about: How can I firm up the saggy skin on my upper arms?

Q I am so fed up with the slack skin on the inside and down the front of my upper arms. Is there anything that can firm it up?
A Radiofrequency microneedling is very popular for its ability to activate firming, lifting tissue generation in the deeper skin layers without significantly damaging the skin’s surface.
It smooths and tightens facial skin but can do the same for crepey, saggy body areas.
The new Profound device is the most powerful to date, boasting an ability to safely heat tissues for four seconds to 67c.

‘This gets us measurable increases in collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid in a single treatment,’ says Dr Sophie Shotter.
She performed the procedure on my knee area; it involved painful local anaesthetic injections to save me from feeling the hot microneedles puncturing my skin.
There was swelling and bruising that took many weeks to settle but, says Dr Shotter, in most patients it resolves ‘in a week’, and after three months, my skin has visibly tightened.
Search candelamedical.com/uk/ for your nearest clinic; Dr Shotter (drsophieshotter.com) charges £4,500 for both arms.
It’s worth mentioning, though, that no non-surgical procedure can make severely saggy skin ‘snap back’ entirely — that would take surgery, such as a £6,000-plus arm lift.
