Here’s one way to eat your feelings.
A Brooklyn pizza shop is delivering boxes of hot and fresh consolation for just $1 with any order. Vinnie’s Pizzeria, at 148 Bedford Ave. in Williamsburg, is now offering “positive reinforcement” to their delivery menu for those who just can’t wait for their next therapy session.
For the added price of one buck, customers can order a side of “comforting words,” the new menu item states on Seamless. “For $1, our delivery driver will look you straight in the eyes and tell you ‘EVERYTHING’S GONNA BE OK AND YOU’RE DOING THE BEST YOU CAN.’ ”
The new promotion was added to their menu on Tuesday, according to a tweet posted by the cheeky pizzeria.
No word yet from Vinnie’s owners on how many sad Brooklynites have taken them up on the offer.
However, social media users appear to be hungry for the validation. Asked one evidently distraught local resident on Twitter, “Is this an option for walk up service too? Pls?”
On Instagram, another potential customer wondered whether a purchase of pie was required to receive encouragement.
Not necessarily, according to the restaurant’s response. “There’s a $15 minimum so you’d have to order 15 comforting sentences. But if you’d like only 1, you can order it as a pickup and we’ll tell you how great you’re doing from our pickup window,” they promised.
In lieu of kind words, the compassionate pizzeria also suggests … pizza, obviously.
“That is also comforting,” they said.
