Thanks to a mistake by Off-White, Nick Young is now the king.
The hypebeast-beloved fashion brand posted a since-deleted photo on Instagram Monday night of the 34-year-old free agent wearing a pair of rare baby blue Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low sneakers (which are currently going for around $1,150 on the resale market), along with a matching suit and Supreme logo hoodie.
Unfortunately, as seen in a screenshot shared by popular Instagram account Comments by Celebs, the label mistakenly identified Swaggy P as LeBron James in the caption, prompting the four-time MVP to respond, “MAN THAT AIN’T ME!! Y’all must be in LA on that OOOOOOOOOOOO WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WE!,” concluding the comment with a face palm emoji.
Young himself also chimed in, writing, “@kingjames LOOK AT ME.. I’M THE KING NOW!!! LOL.”
The former Denver Nuggets athlete continued to laugh about Off-White’s error on Twitter, tagging the brand’s creative director Virgil Abloh and writing, “you owe me every off-White x Nike shoe collab for this.”
In a second tweet, he added, “Aye @virgilabloh I’ll send you my address in the dm lol.”
A rep for James did not immediately respond to Page Six Style’s request for comment, while Off-White declined to comment further on the matter.
