Bridgerton and its wealth of racy sex scenes is the new Netflix hit which has captured the attention of viewers.

Those tuning in to the period drama may well expect something akin to Downton Abbey, but it couldn’t be a further cry way with the lead actress schooled in the art of self-pleasure by a man she’s dating.

And as well as realising that this period drama is a long way away from Downton Abbey’s Highclere Castle, fans have also picked up on another startling revelation and it centres around the lead actress.

Yes, Daphne Bridgerton, who is played by Phoebe Dynevor in the show, is following in the footsteps of her very famous actress mother, who, if you’re a Coronation Street fan you might know well!

That’s right, Phoebe is in fact the daughter of Corrie legend Sally Dynevor, who is best known for her role as Sally Webster in the ITV soap.

Jumping on to social media in a hurry to share their excitement about the connection, one Bridgerton fan penned: “WAIT this is Sally Webster's daughter in #Bridgerton. An acting dynasty!!!"

And the series is filled with toe-curling scenes, including one where the Duke encourages Daphne to explore her body, leading viewers to take to Twitter in disbelief.
