The SpecialBuy range typically includes a wide array of products, including everything from gym equipment to clothing. The retailer recently launched its new summer garden range, which has seen shoppers obsess over almost every item.
As reported by the Liverpool Echo, Aldi’s new Gardenline Rope Effect Rocking Chair has been a highlight of the collection for shoppers who spotted it online.
The chair, which costs £99.99, is advertised as the “perfect addition to any outdoor space” which is a “stunning piece of furniture” for the garden.
It also comes with a seat and back cushion for “extra comfort” and to help get “that modernised look”.
The chair has already received 75 five-star reviews on the retailer’s website, as well as 10 four star ones.
One of the happy customers said: “Easy to put together, beautiful shape, comfortable. I covered the seat with extra faux sheepskin so it cosy and probably will go indoors for winter so I can keep on rocking.”
Another added: “Comfortable, stylish and decent quality. I’d been trying to get garden furniture without success. Everywhere seems to be struggling with stock. I love these chairs which are a bit different and really comfortable.”
A third said: “I now have a very happy wife. A new addition for the patio and my wife can sit nice and comfortably in her new rocking chair.”
A fourth added: “Hubby didn’t want this now I can’t get on it because of him, very comfy little chair perfect for actually sitting back a little instead of bolt upright on the corner suite, the rope seating and back make it so very comfy, it doesn’t rock far which is great, just leans forward so you can reach your drink on the table, not too heavy either but quite strong, very very pleased I got in quick to buy one.”
Only six shoppers have given the item a one-star review.
One of these reviewers said: “Terrible item had to be returned as one of the holes for the screws wasn’t made properly and couldn’t be put together. Never worth £99.99.”
A second added: “The metalwork started rusting a day after it was placed outside. This item is not designed/manufactured for outdoor use despite what it says in the advert. I have been de-rusting virtually a day after it arrived.”
Another said: “Great chair matches my 2 seater snug from Aldi.. the only down side is it doesn’t really rock well overall though a lovely chair.”
