Maggie (Kestie Morassi) has been concerned about Ben’s (Rohan Nichol) whereabouts since finding his caravan shut down and no indication as to where he’s gone. She finds Alf (Ray Meagher) at the Pier, who says that he saw Ben arguing with his lawyer on the phone. Maggie worries that he may have done something reckless, but can’t get hold of him.
The next day, Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) is surprised when Ben casually walks into the Surf Club as if nothing’s wrong. She tells him to call Maggie, but later on, Ziggy finds out that her mum still hasn’t heard from him.
Maggie tries to distract herself with a workout at the gym, but it doesn’t work, so she heads home. The last thing she expects is to find him at the Farmhouse, waiting for her…She is relieved to see he’s OK, but worried about why he’s at the house all of a sudden.
She has been fearing the worst since his unexplained absence, but to her surprise, Ben reveals he’s been in a meeting with the federal police. What’s more, although they haven’t cleared him of the charges, they did listen to his side of the story and told him they believed him.
When Ben finds a business card for a psychologist, he asks why Maggie has it, presuming she’s going to suggest therapy again soon, but she says it’s for her – with everything that’s been going on, she hasn’t been coping. Ben apologises for putting her through everything, but tells her he loves her. Are things heading back in the right direction for the Astonis?
