Being pregnant is a magical time in our lives. Magical and perhaps a bit bumpy. With every up there is a down. A swelling belly is matched with swelling hands and feet (via Lamaze). The strong food cravings are as strong as the food aversions. There’s a lot of back and forth within those nine months, so we’re always happy to hear of a steady comfort. Enter bone broth. The broth carries a major bonus in that it may help in the digestion of other foods. The gelatin found in bone broth can bind to the water in your digestive tract, making foods move through your gut more comfortably.

Bone broth is an optimal beverage choice during pregnancy because it aids the nervous system, endocrine system and brain function.
