This Kinder Bueno cookie dough can be frozen to make last-minute homemade treats

With the summer holidays on the horizon, you might be looking for quick and easy snack ideas that the whole family will enjoy.

We all love shop-bought biscuits, but a homemade option adds some extra wow factor – especially when they incorporate sweet shop favourites like Kinder chocolate.

This recipe from Taste This Now is simple to make using storecupboard ingredients, and the end result is some seriously soft and chocolatey morsels.

The best part is that you can make the dough balls ahead of time, put them in the oven whenever you want oven-fresh cookies.

Just add the Bueno toppers later, or play around with other chocolate to mix things up.

Ingredients

  • 125g butter
  • 85g light soft brown sugar
  • 85g caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 300g plain flour
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 200g kinder chocolate, broken into segments
  • 4 kinder bueno bars

Method

Once they’ve been left to cool they’re ready to eat. Perfect for a bake sale, or when you just want something warm and sweet.
